Speaker Biography:
As CEO of Los Angeles-based Envision Capital Management, Inc., Marilyn Cohen is one of the top bond managers in the country. Her 30-year financial career has included securities analysis at William O'Neil & Co., bond brokerage at Cantor Fitzgerald, Inc., and for the last 15 years, founder and CEO of Envision Capital. Ms. Cohen specializes in managing bond portfolios for individuals. For over 15 years, she has written the bond column in Forbes magazine. Ms. Cohen is the author of The Bond Bible (Prentice Hall/New York Institute of Finance) and was technical editor for Bonds for Dummies. Additionally, she is a popular guest for CNBC, FOX Business News, PBS, and the major broadcast networks, guiding individuals through the workings of the bond market in plain English. Ms. Cohen's new book, Bonds Now! Understanding the New Landscape and Opportunities of Fixed Income Investing (foreword will be written by Steve Forbes) will be released in December 2009 (John Wiley & Sons, Inc.).
