Speaker Biography:
Bernard Lirola is the fund manager of the Needham Aggressive Growth Fund (NEAGX) since January 2008. He also co-manages the Needham Growth Fund (NEEGX). From 1994 to 2007, Mr. Lirola was co-head of Invesment Banking at Needham & Comapny, LLC. He came to Needham from Swiss Bank Corporation, where he was head of all US M&A from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, Mr. Lirola was head of the M&A Healthcare Group at CS First Boston from 1978 to 1990. He began his securities industry career at Smith, Barney, Harris Upham & Co. in 1976. Mr. Lirola graduated in 1973 from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1976.
