Speaker Biography:
In early 2001, Justin Urquhart Stewart co-founded Seven Investment Management, an investment management business that innovated the UK investment market with the introduction of the first Sterling Wrap Account. In particular, his new business places great emphasis on the correct asset allocation within client portfolios on an ongoing basis and provides access to institutional money management for retail investors. It is the only UK Wrap service which offers investment advice. Having trained as a barrister, Mr. Urquhart Stewart took up international corporate finance, working in Africa, Singapore, and then back in the UK. This led him to help found Broker Services in 1986, which went on to become Barclays Stockbrokers where he was corporate development director. Mr. Urquhart Stewart has a keen interest in developing the investment market to break down many of the traditional barriers for both private investors and smaller companies. He writes regularly for national magazines and newspapers, and is a frequent commentator on television and radio, both in the UK and abroad. During the course of his career Mr. Urquhart Stewart has been a trade union shop steward and a vineyard manager.
