Apollo Gold Corporation is engaged in gold mining, including extraction, processing, refining, and the production of by-product metals, as well as related activities, including exploration and development. The company is the operator of the Montana Tunnels mine, which is a 50% joint venture with Elkhorn Tunnels, LLC. The mine is an open pit mine and mill producing gold ore and lead-gold and zinc-gold concentrates. The company has an advanced stage development project, the Black Fox project, which is located in Matheson, Ontario, Canada.
