Michael Shulman, editor of ChangeWave Shorts and has been an analyst of changes in technology and market adoption rates for new technology for over 28 years. He brings a business and market-oriented approach to his analysis of biotech companies while providing his readers with advice and recommendations based on his understanding of the markets, patient and physician preferences, and the revenue potential of new and existing treatments. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Shulman was the director of ChangeWave Insight, the company's service for institutional investors. He was the first analyst to use the information provided by the physicians and researchers of the ChangeWave Alliance, an intelligence network surveyed regularly to identify and quantify transformational change in a number of industries, and to identify winners and losers in the biotech segment. As the director of ChangeWave Insight, Mr. Shulman recommended 14 biotech stock positions--12 of which successfully produced average returns greater than 50%. This success led to the creation of the ChangeWave Biotech Investor. He began as a solar-energy analyst on President Carter's National Energy Plan in 1977 and 1978, which led to his life's pursuit of seeking answers to the questions "what's new" and "what's changing" in emerging technology. Mr. Shulman has made appearances on CNBC's On the Money, Squawkbox, and Power Lunch. He is also frequently quoted in IBD and MSN Money along with appearing in local and national radio shows around the country.
