John Dessauer was a regular panelist on Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser for more than ten years. He is the author of two books on global investing and is widely acclaimed for his global, value-investing monthly newsletter, John Dessauer's Investor's World, which he wrote for more than 28 years. With over 30 years' experience as an investment professional, Mr. Dessauer has run a billion dollar trust department and was Citibank's senior investment officer in Europe in the 1970s. He was responsible for Citibank's private asset management business in Switzerland and throughout Europe. During that time, Mr. Dessauer served on the investment policy committee of a German private bank. He is known for his globe trotting, muddy boots approach to investment research. Mr. Dessauer prefers first hand information on what is happening in the world's economies. He is often interviewed and quoted in well-known financial publications, including Web-based publications.
