John Carter is president of Trade the Markets, Inc., and has been a full-time trader since 1996 and has actively traded for the past 22 years. He grew up the son of a Morgan Stanley stockbroker, and was introduced into trading as a sophomore in high school. In 1999, Mr. Carter launched tradethemarkets.com to post his trading ideas. Today, he has a following of more than 50,000 people. Mr. Carter publishes a free daily as well as a premium newsletter that discusses specific trade set-ups in the financial markets as well as commentary on the overall economic outlook. McGraw-Hill released his book, Mastering the Trade, in January of 2006. Mr. Carter studied international finance at the University of Cambridge in England before graduating from the University of Texas at Austin.
