Speaker Biography:
Michael Cuggino is the president and portfolio manager of Permanent Portfolio Family of Funds, Inc., a San Francisco-based family of no-load, open-end mutual funds specializing in asset allocation and tax-efficient investment strategies since 1982. He founded and serves as the president and CEO of the fund's investment adviser, Pacific Heights Asset Management, LLC, and before joining the fund in 1991, was employed in various capacities by Ernst & Young LLP. Mr. Cuggino has frequently appeared on CNNfn, CNBC, CBS MarketWatch, CBS Radio, FOX News, and Bloomberg TV and radio, and has also been featured in Forbes, BusinessWeek Online, Barron's Online, Financial Advisor magazine, Investment News, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Marketwatch.com, SmartMoney, TheStreet.com, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Wall Street Transcript, and various other newspapers and publications. He holds a BS from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts.
