Speaker Biography:
Dan Moisand is one of the financial planning profession's most respected leaders. As a principal of Moisand Fitzgerald Tamayo, LLC, he provides financial planning and wealth management services. In 2002, Financial Advisor magazine dubbed Mr. Moisand a "Future Star," and it took little time to see that promise fulfilled. He was named among the profession's most influential practitioners as one of Financial Planning magazine's 2003 "Movers & Shakers," and Worth magazine named him one of the 250 best advisors in America. In 2007, he served as national Chairman of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the membership organization for the financial planning community. He is a prolific writer and is the only two-time winner of the Journal of Financial Planning's National Call for Papers Competition. In 2002, Mr. Moisand's "Urge to Merge: Insights From a Sole Practitioner's Search for Partners" was named a winner in the Practice Management category and "My Final Exam" was named the Future of the Profession category's best for 2004. He is also frequently quoted in a variety of publications and media.
