In this issue of
The Money Show Digest, we continue our Annual Top Picks
Report, in which we have asked all contributing advisors to select
their single favorite stock for 2004. (To return to Part I of this
special report, click here.) Meanwhile, here is Part 2 of the Top Picks report, and a look
ahead.
With the final year-end numbers in, the 25 stocks in last year's Top Picks
reports showed a 68% gain, with only one of those stocks down in price. Vahan
Janjigian's pick of American Superconductor rose 360%, while Fred Hager
selection of Rambus scored a gain of 357%. We began Part 1 of this report with
Vahan's new pick, and we conclude Part 2, with a new pick from Fred.
We offer our congratulations to the advisors who have been
featured in these pages. At the risk
of sounding self-serving, they have shown an uncanny record
of keeping our readers on the right track. At the time of our
2003 Top Picks report, our advisors cited such factors as the impact
of changes in tax rates and the election cycle to support a continued
bullish stance. The general consensus among our advisors has since remained
bullish as prices have risen through the year. They have alerted our
readers to such trends as gold, natural resources, and commodities, growing
opportunities in Asia, particularly China, and the sharp rebound in tech
stocks- all well before these trends became popular
in the financial media.
