Speaker Biography:
Merlin Rothfeld is an instructor for Online Trading Academy. Mr. Rothfeld offers students a well-diversified perspective of the trading life, including his experience with trading strategies in long-term and short-term investing and high-volume scalping. He trades daily and has been actively involved in the financial markets for the last ten years. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Rothfeld worked in Italy building curricula and programs to teach the European community the inner workings of the financial markets and the best methods to access these markets. During this time, he had the opportunity to learn and trade most of the European markets. Mr. Rothfeld was also a professor at the Universita Politecnica Delle Marche, a finance specialty school where he created the first dedicated trading lab at a European university. Mr. Rothfeld was the editor of the Investnet Trading newsletter from 2001 to 2004. He began daytrading in 1998, using his own money through a variety of DAT trading platforms. Mr. Rothfeld worked for a large financial planning firm in California where he applied traditional, long-term investment strategies. He is a frequent guest speaker at trade shows and universities throughout the world and has a degree in business finance.
