Brian Begley has been the vice president of investor relations for Atlas Energy, LP (NYSE: ATLS), a master limited partnership (MLP), since February 2011. He has been with the Atlas companies since April 2006, when he was director of investor relations for Atlas Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE: APL) and Atlas America, Inc., (subsequently renamed Atlas Energy, Inc.). During 2006, Mr. Begley assisted in the initial public offerings for Atlas Pipeline Holdings, LP (now named Atlas Energy, LP) and Atlas Energy Resources, LLC, an E&P MLP. In the last several years, the Atlas companies have undergone a significant transformation, culminating in the sale of Atlas Energy, Inc. and its Marcellus Shale natural gas assets to Chevron Corporation in February 2011. He and the former Atlas management team are now repositioning the remaining Atlas MLPs for the tremendous growth opportunities that lie ahead for Atlas Energy and Atlas Pipeline. Prior to joining Atlas, Mr. Begley was a director in the investor relations area at Cigna. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor's degree in accounting.
