Selman Akyol joined Stifel Nicolaus in September 1999 and specializes in the analysis of master limited partnerships. Prior to joining Stifel, he was a senior analyst with Johnson Research & Capital Incorporated, an investment banking, institutional research, and market making boutique. Mr. Akyol also served as staff accountant with Edison Brothers Stores, Inc., from 1990 until 1992 and was an account executive with PaineWebber from 1988 through 1989. In 2010, he ranked second among stock pickers in the oil equipment services and distribution industry in the
Wall Street Journal Best on the Street Analysis Survey. In addition, in 2008, Mr. Akyol was also recognized by
Financial Times for being number one in earnings accuracy in the gas utility industry. He received an undergraduate degree and an MBA from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
