Speaker Biography:
Tony Blankley is executive vice president for global public affairs at Edelman in Washington DC. For more than 25 years, he has been at the intersection of national politics, media, and public policy. Mr. Blankley is the former editorial and opinion page editor for The Washington Times and former contributing editor for John F. Kennedy Jr.'s George magazine. For seven years, he served as press secretary to then Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich. Prior to his career on Capitol Hill, Mr. Blankley served President Ronald Reagan as a speechwriter and senior policy analyst. Before coming to Washington, he was a California deputy attorney general for seven years. Mr. Blankley authored his first book in 2005, a New York Times bestseller, The West's Last Chance: Will We Win the Clash of Civilization? He co-hosts KCRW's popular show, Left, Right & Center and appears regularly on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews, CNBC's Kudlow and Company, FOX News' Hannity & Colmes, and FOX & Friends, as well as several national commercial talk radio shows.
