Speaker Biography:
Randall Eley is founder, president, and chief investment officer of The Edgar Lomax Company, an investment advisory firm in Springfield, VA. Prior to founding the company, he was a practicing corporate attorney specializing in bond law with the Omaha, Nebraska-based firm of Kutak Rock. Mr. Eley has appeared on numerous radio and TV programs including repeat appearances on CNN, CNBC, Wall Street Week, and as a regular "guest market monitor," on The Nightly Business Report. He has been the subject of many articles including profiles in Barron's and Fortune. Mr. Eley has also received a number of honors, which include his selection by Dollars and Sense in 1988 as one of "America's Best & Brightest Young Business & Professional Men" and The Washington Times in 1997 as one of "Five Banking Executives You Need in Your Rolodex." He is a two-time winner of The Wall Street Journal's "dartboard" stock-picking contest. Mr. Eley is a member of the New York Stock Exchange's Individual Investors Advisory Committee, the Board of Visitors for the University of Mary Washington, and a trustee emeritus of the Board of Trustees for The Endowment Association of the College of William and Mary in Virginia. He graduated from Yale University with a BA in political science and received a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
