Moderator Carlton Delfeld, editor of The New Chartwell Global ETF Investor, discussed investment prospects around the world with a panel of leading money managers, including Charles de Vaulx, partner in International Value Advisors; Jim Oberweis, president of Oberweis Asset Management and editor, Oberweis Report; and Daniel O'Keefe, portfolio manager, Artisan Partners.
The advisors offered insights into the current structure of their portfolios during these volatile times-including the value of cash positions and various sectors-as well as their preparation for better times ahead. They agreed that this bear market provides an opportunity to upgrade to higher quality names at a discount and shared the primary parameters they investigate in their analysis of successful companies and management.
