Dr. Robert McTeer, distinguished fellow National Center for Policy Analysis, and past president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, shared his optimistic outlook, citing support from declining unemployment rates and shrinking trade deficits. But he noted that our biggest threat to prosperity is the upcoming election. He fears increasing taxes on capital gains and dividends may play havoc with the economy and the markets.
