Taking an alternative point of view, Harry Dent, founder and president, H.S. Dent Foundation, a perennial bull for the last two decades, was much less hopeful of better days ahead-in the near term. He cited the peak of the spending cycle of the baby boomer generation, rising inflation, and weak housing as indicators that the boom was near an end. However, on a brighter note, Dent suggested that the bursting of the real estate, stock, and commodity bubbles would eventually provide opportunities of a lifetime for value investors. Dent was less than enthusiastic about China but believes India may boom into the 2060s.
