Midcaps Still Weaker

Since October, the midcap stocks, as represented by the S&P 400, have been weaker than the S&P 500. The bar chart shows a break of key support in September, and the RS chart had also turned negative by the end of the month. Strong resistance lies at 580-620, and a drop back below support at 450 would be quite negative.
