It's unusual when one of our Money Show speakers recommends the services of another of our speakers. But such is the case here. Mark Skousen , the leading economist and a new faculty member at Columbia Business School, chooses a fund managed by Money Show speaker Ken Kam as his favorite fund. Here's Skousen's review, as well as Kam's latest top stock picks.

"Masters 100 Fund (MOFQX) is a must-have for this uncertain market," says Mark Skousen in his Forecasts & Strategies. "The fund is managed by Ken Kam, who has discovered a successful way to outperform the averages over a long period. How? By creating a simple way to profit from the ever-changing performance of the top stock pickers in the country. His Web site, marketocracy.com, attracts superior stock speculators from around the world. Of the 55,000 investors who participate in his program, he adopts the portfolios of the 100 top performers. Each month, the money managers are evaluated and replaced with those with the best track records. Since its inception in December 2001, we have seen the fund beat the S&P 500 in every quarter. The fund was up almost 22% in the second quarter and beat the S&P 500 index by 7%, showing that its unique style can also outperform the averages in both a bear and a bull market. We would also note that the fund has outperformed the market while maintaining about half the volatility of the overall market. This is my favorite no-load fund."

Meanwhile, for those who prefer individual stocks to a fund, here are the latest strong buy stock alerts from Marketocracy : Says Ken Kam, "E-Loan (EELN NASDAQ) is an online provider of loans directly to consumers, offering mortgages, home equity loans, car loans, credit cards, and small business loans. Since the price peak in July the majority of investors have steadily sold most of their shares, while analysts have lowered their ratings. Meanwhile, the best investors we monitor have been rapidly growing their holdings in EELN by 28%, making it one of the top 2% of all positions in their portfolio. Raindance Communications (RNDC NASDAQ) provides Internet communication services via Web-based applications that enable voice, video, and visuals for remote meetings and events. The ‘best’ portfolio managers increased their holdings by +45%, while the balance decreased their holdings by 11%. XOMA, Ltd. (XOMA NASDAQ) is a biopharmaceutical company that develops and manufactures products to treat cancer, immunologic and inflammatory disorders, and infectious diseases. XOMA has proprietary technologies relating to recombinant antibodies and proteins. The best investors that we follow increased their holdings by +15% (bringing their total holdings of the stock to the top 6% of the portfolio), while the rest decreased their holdings by 2%."
