The staff at Briefing.com puts together a list, which features names in their proprietary Focus List of the most liquid, high relative strength stocks in the market that are ideal for day and swing trading candidates.
Summertime is winding down here as we approach the Labor Day weekend. Note this is often a low-volume, choppy day to day environment.
Our Focus List is designed to seek out the strongest stocks from both a fundamental and technical standpoint, however, even during bear cycles or corrective phases, they can become very susceptible to corrections as well. Be especially careful with those names that have run significantly higher the last few weeks and are extended well above key moving averages. Also be cautious with those leaders breaking below their 50-day ma's and are struggling to recoup/bounce as they could be setting up for another leg lower.
YNDX - Solid relative strength here in August as price consolidates in a narrow range along its highs, finding support along a rising 20-day ma. Keep on the radar for higher prices above 34-resistance.
VIA.B - Leading media/broadcasting name consolidating its early August earnings gap. Recent activity shows buyers along the rising 20-day ma's, which shows signs of accumulation.
QCOR - Biotech leader making an attempt to breakout from its three-week narrow range.
FLT - A long-standing leader on our Focus List, FLT continues to catch bids along key support, moving averages and trendlines.
FB - Leading stocks will act bullish on the charts. Look for pullbacks and breakouts along key technical levels to trade.
RMD - Heatlhcare equipment and service name slides off our Focus List this week, but not much "technical damage" to take it off the radar. In fact, the narrowing range here above its rising 20-day ema suggests price is gearing up for a potential breakout over 50/51 resistance soon.
Liquid Momentum is Briefing.com's proprietary Focus List for the 50 most liquid, high relative strength stocks in the market that are ideal for day and swing trading candidates.
