Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: QABA

The staff at ETFChannel.com highlights a banking ETF seeing unusually high volume versus its three month average on Wednesday and points out the components of that vehicle that were seeing the highest volume as well as which ones were trading lower.

The First Trust NASDAQ ABA Community Bank Index Fund ETF (QABA) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 353,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 29,000. Shares of QABA were up about 0.9% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Zions Bancorporation (ZION), trading down about 0.8% with over 1.8 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Investors Bancorp (ISBC), up about 0.7% on volume of over 1.0 million shares. Green Bancorp (GNBC) is the component faring the best Wednesday, up by about 8.5% on the day, while The Bancorp Bank (TBBK) is lagging other components of the First Trust NASDAQ ABA Community Bank Index Fund ETF, trading lower by about 9.4%.
