About Mark

Mark Hulbert is a senior columnist at MarketWatch. He was the former editor of The Hulbert Financial Digest (HFD), a consumers' report on the real-world performance of investment advisors. Mark's Videos

Mark Hulbert has a unique approach to measuring sentiment: He tracks what market timing newsletters are doing, as opposed to what they're saying. He has been doing this for four decades, and his daily-updated sentiment indexes (for stocks, bonds, and gold) have contrarian properties that have proven to be very helpful to short-term traders. In this seminar, Mr. Hulbert will review the history of his indices and where they stand now.
This exclusive panel assembles a select subset of top advisors for consistent performance over the long-term, according to The Hulbert Financial Digest. Moderated by Mark Hulbert, the panelists will discuss their investment outlooks for 2016, identifying not only the steps investors ought to be taking from what these advisors foresee, but also—and perhaps more importantly—the biggest mistakes to avoid.
