Mr. Phillips helped develop the Morningstar Style BoxMorningstar Ratingand other distinctive and proprietary Morningstar innovations that have become industry standards. Both Financial Planning and Investment Advisor magazines have included him on their lists of the most influential people in the financial planning industry. Mr. Phillips has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and a Master's degree from the University of Chicago.
