Nicole Pedersen-McKinnon is a highly regarded financial editor, commentator, and author as well as a qualified financial adviser and stockbroker. She is the editor of The Australian Financial Review's (AFR) successful newsstand magazine AFR Smart Investor, which she launched in 2005. In addition, Ms. Pedersen-McKinnon is the editor of the largest circulating consumer finance newspaper section in the country AFR Investor. She has written two books, her newest one being Have Your Debt and Double Your Freedom--Without the Mumbo Jumbo as well as Double Your Wealth and Halve Your Worries--Without the Mumbo Jumbo. Ms. Pedersen-McKinnon also provides expert commentary on radio and television. While working in the United Kingdom for Financial Times Business, her work was published by titles including The Times and the Mail on Sunday, and her original research was covered by the Financial Times, The Times and The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph, the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday, The Guardian, The Observer, and The Mirror to name a few. Ms. Pedersen-McKinnon has received various accolades for her writing. She was named the United Kingdom's Pensions and Investment Journalist of the Year (2004) and, on her return home, won the personal finance category of the Citigroup Journalism Awards for Excellence (2005).
