Our Aggressive Portfolio is the area of our newsletter where we “swing for the fences” as it were, an apt metaphor for the beginning of baseball season, explains Doug Fabian, editor of Successful ETF Investing.

To do this, we often employ leveraged ETFs, inverse ETFs and ETFs pegged to specific markets that have the potential for fast-moving gains.

I think it is possible we could see double-digit percentage gains with our two current positions in our in the Aggressive Portfolio — the Market Vectors India Small-Cap ETF (SCIF) and the EMQQ Emerging Markets Internet & Ecommerce ETF (EMQQ).

As the name suggests, SCIF is a fund that invests in companies that primarily do business inside India. Meaning these are stocks of companies within the country, and that serve the country’s burgeoning domestic consumer market.

With EMQQ, we have an emerging market play targeted to the tremendous growth of the Internet and ecommerce segments in developing countries throughout the emerging markets.

The themes here are actually similar, as both SCIF and EMQQ target the growth of the middle and upper class in areas that have hitherto been unable to afford technology products.

These are the kinds of themes that tend to play out in explosive wealth creation, and that should translate into big gains for both SCIF and EMQQ.

We recommended buying the Emerging Markets Internet & Ecommerce ETF and Market Vectors India Small-Cap ETF.
