      Robert McTeer, PhD, is a distinguished fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis. Prior to his current position, he was chancellor of the Texas A&M University system from November 2004 to November 2006. Before becoming chancellor, Dr. McTeer had a 36-year career with the Federal Reserve, including 14 years as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and member of the Federal Open Market Committee. He taught economics as an adjunct faculty member at several universities, including ten years at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. McTeer serves on the boards of directors of several companies and is economic advisor to two others. He is a former member of the Board of Overseers for UGA’s Terry College of Business, where he was named "Distinguished Alumnus" in 1991. Dr. McTeer is a past president of the Association of Private Enterprise Education, a national association of free enterprise scholars, and is a former member of the National Council on Economic Education.
