Susan M. Byrne is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Westwood Holdings Group, Inc, a publicly held institutional asset management firm with more than $4 billion in assets under management. Founded in 1983, Westwood serves a variety of institutional clients such as corporate pension funds, religious organizations, endowments, and foundations. In addition, Westwood is the investment advisor to the Gabelli Westwood Funds, a family of open-ended mutual funds, of which Ms. Byrne serves as president. She is a member of the board of the University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO) and the Southwestern Medical Foundation, where she is a member of the investment committee. Ms. Byrne is a regular co-host of CNBC's Squawk Box and has made numerous appearances on Moneyline with Lou Dobbs, Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street, and CNBC's Business Center with Ron Insana. In addition, she has been featured in many business publications such as Fortune, Business Week, Money, SmartMoney, and Barron's, as well as frequent quotes in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Investor's Business Daily, and the Dallas Morning News.
