Mark Ashley

Mark Ashley, director, Vangold Mining Corp., is a successful resource executive with over 30-year career. An expert at selecting, turning around, and optimizing mining properties for internationally listed organizations. Mr. Ashley has a wide ranging and in-depth knowledge of the technical, commercial, and financial aspects of the resource sector (precious metals, base metals, and bulk commodities) having held senior executive roles of a number of internationally listed entities including Normandy Mining, Cluff Resources, LionOre Mining International (Acquired by Norilsk Nickel 2007 $6 Billion CDN), Kagara Zinc, Apex Minerals, and many others. Mr. Ashley was also a director of the Australian Gold Council, the World Gold Council and a Council Member for Curtin University (a major West Australian based university). He has significant international corporate finance experience in the mining and resource sector and has worked in China, Turkey, UK and Australia. Mr. Ashley is a registered FCMA.
