Martin Pring




Martin Pring serves as chairman and investment strategist at Pring Turner Capital Group, a Walnut Creek, California-based money management firm dedicated to a business cycle investment strategy. He provides research to individuals and institutions around the world through the publication of the Intermarket Review, a monthly synoposis of the technical position of the world's principal financial markets. In 2012, Mr. Pring, in collaboration with Dow Jones Indexes, co-developed the Dow Jones Pring US Business Cycle Index, a unique active index based on Pring Turner's research. The index is designed to dynamically re-allocate and invest in stocks, bonds, commodities, and cash according to the current stage of the economic business cycle. He is investment strategist for NYSE-listed Pring Turner Business Cycle ETF (symbol DBIZ). DBIZ is an actively managed fund that seeks to capitalize on Pring Turner's unique approach to asset allocation. Mr. Pring has written more than 20 books, including Technical Analysis Explained, now in its fifth edition, which has been translated into 10 languages and is required reading for the Chartered Market Technician's (CMT) designation. Described by Barron's as a "technician's technician." His numerous research articles have been featured in Barron's, MarketWatch.com, and currently at Stockcharts.com.
