Steven Wallman

Steven Wallman is founder and CEO of FOLIOfn, Inc. Prior to founding FOLIOfn in 1998, he served as a commissioner of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. While serving on the Commission, he played a leading role in formulating policies that brought the Internet and other advanced technologies into wide use within the securities industry. Mr. Wallman, a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC, is a recognized authority on securities markets and trading and the application of technology to financial services. He was a partner at the Washington, DC law firm of Covington & Burling. Mr. Wallman earned a law degree from Columbia University and holds two degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, including an MS from the Sloan School of Management.
