Eric Thornburg

Eric Thornburg is chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (CTWS). His entire career of more than 30 years has been in the investor-owned public water utility industry. Mr. Thornburg started as a management trainee at one the nation's largest water utilities and achieved positions of increasing responsibility. In 2006, he was named president of Connecticut Water Service, Inc., through its regulated public water utility subsidiaries, serves 440,000 people in 79 towns across Connecticut and Maine. Under his leadership, CTWS has undergone significant growth and change. Mr. Thornburg also serves on the Board of Directors for Middlesex Hospital and is chairman of the Madison, Connecticut Board of Police Commissioners. He is a past president of the National Association of Water Companies. Mr. Thornburg has a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
