Christopher Brecher

Christopher Brecher is a professional trader with over four decades of experience trading options, stocks, and futures. He began his career at a “boiler room” brokerage, but quickly realized he wanted to be part of the “house,” not the salesperson. He left to pursue a path on the Chicago Board Options Exchange, starting as a clerk on the trading floor.

After a year learning the mechanics of the market from the inside, he moved to a discount brokerage firm, where he turned a $200 account into $25,000 in just two years. He then purchased a seat on the CBOE and went on to trade successfully as a market maker for eight years. Recognizing early the shift toward electronic trading, Mr. Brecher transitioned to a proprietary trading firm, where he spent nine years and consistently ranked in the top five out of more than 800 traders.

Since 2003, he has traded independently while mentoring traders to focus on consistency, risk management, and repeatable edge. He is the founder of TradingNest.tv, where he teaches high-probability setups, and has contributed market insights to Simpler Trading, StockTwits, Live from the CBOE, and StockTrader Network.
