Azmath Rahiman

Azmath Rahiman is a member of the Cabot investment team and chief analyst of Cabot Benjamin Graham Value Investor. He is also a contributor to Cabot's free e-newsletter, Wall Street's Best Daily. He joined Cabot in September 2017 to work with Roy Ward on further developing the value investing techniques Roy had developed at Cabot since 2003. Mr. Azmath has practiced the art of value creation in many facets over the past decade, developing a following as a value investor in overseas markets, with an emphasis on assisting capital allocators understand the complex Indian markets. He followed the tenets of Warren Buffett in applying his investment advice, seeking middle market companies that are undervalued, possess well-known brands, and are led by experienced management. Mr. Azmath came to the US in 2015 after meeting Patrick Terrion, who worked with him on applying second-level thinking to his value-investing techniques. Second-level thinking occurs when key insights into management and market expectations are integrated through rigorous understanding of industry and company business models. He further honed his global investing skills at the University of Connecticut by managing a portion of the institution's endowment fund and completing his MBA in finance and investments, specializing in portfolio management, in 2017.
