Robert Stovall is managing director of Wood Asset Management, a Titanium Asset Company, and has been with the company since April 2003. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Stovall was senior market strategist for Prudential Financial. From 1985 through 2000, he was the president of Stovall/Twenty-First Advisers, Inc. Mr. Stovall joined Dean Witter Reynolds as a partner in marketing and research in 1969. He joined E.F. Hutton and Co. in 1953 as a junior securities analyst, becoming the partner responsible for research in 1966. Mr. Stovall began his career on Wall Street as a messenger for Reynolds and Company with time off for military service in Italy during WWII. An active media contributor, he was a regular panelist and "Hall of Fame" member on Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street (formerly Wall Street Week With Louis Rukeyser) from 1976 through 2004. Mr. Stovall is a commentator on CNN, CNBC-TV, Bloomberg, Fox, AP Radio, and PBS' Nightly Business Report, and has been a regular columnist for Forbes and Financial World. Since 1985, he has been a professor of finance at NYU's Stern Graduate School of Business, and a regular lecturer at Stetson University's George Investment Program since 1985. An early supporter of the Chartered Financial Analyst program, Mr. Stovall earned his CFA designation (#618) in 1965. Mr. Stovall holds a BS in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from New York University.
