Juan Sarmiento is a veterinary pathologist (DVM, PhD) who began trading stocks in 1991. In 1995, he began to trade options using the Elliott Wave theory. Between 2003-2005, Dr. Sarmiento evaluated and tested different option trading strategies, finally discovering and optimizing the Genie" trade, a low risk/high reward strategy suitable for many market conditions. Dr. Sarmiento maintains the Web site, PutCallGenie.com, where participants exchange ideas and link to his weekly trades, dozens of video tutorials, with detailed explanations about his trading strategies, technical analysis and Elliott Wave forecasting, and live trading. Dr. Sarmiento trades based on the leverage and risk management features of options.
