About Marc

Marc Faber, PhD, established Marc Faber Limited in 1990, which acts as an investment advisor and fund manager. He publishes the widely read monthly investment newsletter, The Gloom Boom & Doom Report, which highlights unusual investment opportunities. Dr. Faber is also the author of several books including Tomorrow's Gold--Asia's Age of Discovery, which was on Amazon's bestseller list for several weeks and is being translated into Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and German. He is a regular contributor to several leading financial publications around the world. Well known for his "contrarian" investment approach, Dr. Faber is also a regular speaker at various investment seminars. He was the managing director of Drexel Burnham Lambert (HK) Ltd. from 1978 to 1990. Between the years of 1970 and 1978, Dr. Faber worked for White Weld & Company Limited in New York, Zurich, and Hong Kong. He has a PhD in economics magna cum laude from the University of Zurich.
