About Phil

Phil Roosevelt is the managing editor of Barron's, the weekly investment magazine of Dow Jones. He oversees the daily operations of Barron's writers, editors, and graphic artists, and helps set the publication's long-term direction. Mr. Roosevelt joined Barron's in 2003 as an assistant managing editor. He has directed market-moving stories about a broad range of industries, and played a key role in expanding Barron's coverage of wealth management and financial advisors. Mr. Roosevelt was named deputy managing editor in 2011 and managing editor the following year. Before Barron's, he served as editor-in-chief of American Banker newspaper and a founding editor of a Time Inc. technology magazine. Mr. Roosevelt holds an MBA and an MS in journalism, both from Columbia University.
