Tim Hanson

Tim Hanson is advisor for Global Gains at The Motley Fool, which he has been contributing to since the newsletter's inception in 2005. He is also a regular contributor to Hidden Gems, was part of the founding analyst team for Pay Dirt, and writes daily for Fool.com. Mr. Hanson has served as financial editor for each of the Fool's newsletter services and is commissioner of the company's small (but growing) basketball league. He has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and Latin America and has lived abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Hanson has participated in all of the Global Gains research trips, meeting with the execs at various companies and sharing his analysis via trip dispatches. He brings knowledge, curiosity, and passion about investing and international affairs to the service--as well as significant experience in both areas--this combination is essential when it comes to seeking out the world's best investment opportunities. Mr. Hanson is a graduate of Georgetown University with honors and came to The Motley Fool from the White House, where he helped craft messaging for economic, environmental, and national security policy.
