Chris Heye

Chris Heye, PhD, is the CEO and Founder of Whealthcare Solutions, Inc. and Whealthcare Planning LLC. He is a proven entrepreneur with extensive experience starting and growing technology companies. After confronting dementia in his own family and witnessing elder financial abuse in friends, he decided not enough was being done to protect older adults. He helped design and manage a clinical study at the Massachusetts General Hospital that investigated the behavioral and cognitive underpinnings of sound financial decision-making. The study results form the basis of an innovative methodology for defining and measuring financial wellness that has been published in the Journal of Financial Planning. Whealthcare Planning received the 2019 InvestmentNews Innovation award for best educational materials and the 2019 WealthManagement.com award for Thought Leadership from a technology company.Dr Heye has published numerous journal articles, book chapters, and MIT working papers on financial technology, financial wellness, capital investment, and simulation modeling. He received his BA from Wesleyan University and PhD from MIT, where he also completed a post-doctoral program at the Industrial Performance Center.
