David Gardner

David Gardner is the co-founder and chief rule breaker at The Motley Fool, as well as chairman of The Motley Fool Foundation. With 28 years of stock picking, he achieved remarkable returns, generating 21% annualized returns for followers of The Motley Fool's flagship service, Stock Advisor. Mr. Gardner is a Morehead-Cain Scholar graduate as well as a recipient of the "Distinguished Young Alumni Award" from the University of North Carolina. He has served on the national board of directors of Conscious Capitalism, the Individual Investors advisory committee to the New York Stock Exchange, and the board of the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC.
