Sal Bruno

Sal Bruno is the chief investment officer and managing director at IndexIQ. He joined the firm in 2007 and his primary responsibility is developing and maintaining the firm's investment strategies. Previously, Mr. Bruno held senior positions at Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM), including director and portfolio manager for a US large cap core equity mutual fund with approximately $6 billion in assets under management. Prior to that, he was the head of advanced quantitative research at DeAM where he directed the quantitative research effort to support numerous products including quantitative equity strategies, global asset allocation, passive risk-based alternative beta portfolios, and probabilistic efficient frontiers.
