Derrick Chan

Derrick Chan is vice president, product development in electronic brokerage services for Fidelity Capital Markets Services (FCMS), a unit of Fidelity Investments, the largest mutual fund company in the United States, the number one provider of workplace retirement savings plans, and a leading online brokerage firm. Mr. Chan is responsible for the development of FCMS's electronic trading products including Model Trade Execution (MTRX®) algorithmic suite, the CrossStream® ATS, Fidelity's connectivity and routing infrastructure, and pre- and post-trade analytics. Prior to his current position, he was director, product development and was responsible for the developments of Electronic Brokerage Service's algorithms, smart routing, crossing systems, and market structure. Mr. Chan began his career at Fidelity in 2003 as an associate for FCMS Development Program where he worked on the trade support desk, sales trading desk, and market-making desk, and he performed market structure analysis. In 2006, he added the responsibilities under his associate title of developing algorithms and managing FCMS's CrossStream® ATS product. Mr. Chan currently holds series 7, 24, 55, and 63 registrations. He received his Bachelor's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in electrical engineering, computer science, and management science.
