About Alan

Alan Wilkinson is an investment director in the Investment Analysis Group (IAG) for Fidelity Investments, one of the largest mutual fund companies in the US, a #1 provider of workplace retirement savings plans, and a leading online brokerage firm. As part of Fidelity Management and Research Company (FMRCo), he is charged with communicating FMRCo's investment capabilities. Mr. Wilkinson is responsible for investor education presentations that explain current market trends and various investment themes across multiple asset classes. He joined Fidelity in 1995 as senior director of Investment Services. Mr. Wilkinson was charged with leading a group of investment professionals responsible for dissemination of all investment related information to Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company (FIIS) clients. He was named vice president of Investment Services for FIIS in 1996 and became senior vice president of Investment Consulting Services for Fidelity Investment Retirement Services Company. Mr. Wilkinson led a group of professionals responsible for all investment aspects of Fidelity's relationships with over 750 401(k) plan clients. Prior to assuming his current role in May 2004, he was a financial consultant for multiple corporations regarding 401(k) plan design and fund performance within each plan. Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Wilkinson managed a pool of private money totaling $1.5 billion for a Canadian province as well as a group of high-net-worth individuals; was a partner at the Corporate Capital Group in New York; was responsible for middle market mergers, acquisitions, and equity investment team within the accounting firm of Laventhal & Horwath; and began his career at Westpac Banking Corporation serving in several positions through 1988 including foreign exchange trader based in Sydney, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He received an MBA from Pace University and is a CFA charterholder.
