Tim Hughes

Tim Hughes is head of sales trading at IG Index, one of the world's largest spread betting companies. He manages the growing desk of sales traders who offer a personal point of contact for all new and existing clients of IG, from talking through first trades to being clients' dedicated brokers. Mr. Hughes frequently contributes to Bloomberg and CNBC, offering market commentary and a view from the spread betting world. He is also increasingly involved with the company's PR, raising the profile of spread betting; everything from grey markets to promoting spread betting as a serious tool in everyone's portfolio management. Mr. Hughes joined IG in 2000 from Sheffield University where he read economics and politics.
