About Cameron

Cameron Winklevoss is co-founder and president of Gemini, a next generation digital asset exchange. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics and earned an MBA from Oxford University. He represented the US at the 2008 Olympics Games in Beijing, China, placing 6th. Cameron has been an angel investor and entrepreneur in emerging technologies since 2003. He began participating in the Bitcoin economy through direct investment in 2012. In addition to being president of Gemini, he and his brother Tyler are currently seeking SEC approval for the Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust, a bitcoin ETF that will trade with the ticker symbol COIN.

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss launched Gemini Trust Company, LLC in October of 2015 as a fully licensed regulated digital asset exchange in New York City. In May of 2016, Gemini became the first-ever licensed bitcoin and ether exchange. In June of 2016, operations expanded to Canada, with plans to continue into Europe, East Asia, and elsewhere.
