Van Hoisington is the founder, president, and chairman of the Investment Committee of HIMCO, which manages over $5 billion in fixed-income assets for institutional and eleemosynary accounts and is the sub-advisor of the $140 million Wasatch-Hoisington US Treasury Fund. Founded in 1980, HIMCO ranked number one among bond managers in 2007 with a 10.5% rate of return on an unleveraged, 100% US Treasury bond portfolio. HIMCO also carries a number one ranking for the past 3, 10, and 20-year time periods. For the past decade, HIMCO returns have exceeded the return of the S&P 500 by 200 bps compounded. Prior to forming HIMCO, Mr. Hoisington was executive vice president and senior investment officer of Texas Commerce Bancshares of Houston, Texas. He has been featured in Forbes, Barron's, and many other financial publications for his outstanding investment acumen. Mr. Hoisington has been a frequent speaker at Grant's Investment Conference and was a special guest on Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street Week on PBS.
