Joe Crapster

Joe Crapster is the manager of shareholder communications for Duke Energy, a diversified energy company with a portfolio of natural gas and electric businesses, both regulated and unregulated, and an affiliated real estate company. He served as a summer student for Duke Energy in 1984 and joined the company full-time in 1987 as a retail assistant in the marketing department. After a series of promotions including supervisor of office administration, customer service, and service response for the electric distribution department, he was subsequently named supervisor of business, industry, and collections in customer service. Prior to his current position, Mr. Crapster also held the positions of manager of shareholder communications in the investor relations department and director of investor relations. Previously, he served as president and zone chairman of the Lion's Club, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Executive Sales Team, and loaned executive for the United Way. Mr. Crapster earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Catawba College, and a Master's degree in business administration from Queens University.
