Tom Sosnoff began his career on the CBOE floor in 1981, where he spent two decades as a market maker and money manager, and ran a prop trading firm. In 1999, he co-founded thinkorswim, a new broker-dealer and the leading options boutique in the US. The thinkorswim platform provided retail traders with professional-grade analytics and HFT execution tools. The company went public in 2007 and was acquired by TD Ameritrade in 2009 for $750M.
Following the acquisition, Mr. Sosnoff co-founded tastytrade in late 2010. Tastytrade quickly became the largest streaming digital network for finance. In 2017, tasty launched a next-generation brokerage platform offering the industry’s most advanced derivative trading technology. IG Group acquired tastytrade in 2021 for $1.1B.
Tom now returns alongside co-founder Scott Sheridan with Lossdog, applying decades of experience in market transparency to professional and investment compensation. The platform uses intelligent, math-driven algorithms to calculate the optimization of both a user's investment portfolio and career profile.
