Profiting from CFRA's Comprehensive Canadian Coverage
Released on Wednesday, July 8, 2020•ETFs
Covid-19 has depressed global economic projections for 2020, dragging Canada down with it. Real GDP is forecast to fall 5.0%, according to Action Economics, which is similar to the decline expected for the U.S. Like the rest of the world, however, economists anticipate a turnaround in 2021 on the order of 5.0%. Despite paralleling the U.S. economic undulations, the S&P/TSX 60's rolling 5-year relative strength hugs the minus-1 standard deviation level, as it has since 2013. Should investors continue to avoid our neighbors to the north, or are their pockets of individual-stock opportunities? Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist of CFRA Research, and author of The Seven Rules of Wall Street, will discuss his Canadian sector rotation model and introduce investors to CFRA's stock reports on Canadian-listed firms and the 800 Canadian-listed equity & fixed income ETFs.
